Like others have said, the school has a negative reputation, not great overall test scores, an overcrowded high school, etc. However, the diversity of students, class offerings, IB program, college courses, performing arts program, extra-curricular activities, after school clubs, etc., make this school a wonderful choice. If your student puts in the effort and work, they will easily succeed. The district has made a lot of changes over the years and continues to fight for funding and opportunities for the students. The teachers work hard to ensure the success of their students, and there is additional help (tutoring, after school assistance, review groups for upcoming exams, virtual help from teachers, etc.) for the students to take advantage of.

The past two years Keane Elementary has changed in such a positive way! It’s become so family focused! They have introduced so many new activities like books and basketball! Pushing for fun & learning! They’re constantly showing the parents they want them be involved and feel included; by celebrating Mother’s Day and Father’s Day at Keane. The new principal is great! I’m so grateful for all the staff and can’t thank them enough for all of their dedication during and outside of school hours. They have sacrificed nights and Saturdays to show the students they care and love to see them happy! Thank you Mrs.Messler for all the positive changes you’ve implemented these past two years. Not only do i feel part of the Keane family! I see the love you guys have for every child that walks in those doors. From safety staff, office staff, teachers, guidance counselors and the principal herself have been such a blessing to not only my children but to the community!
