FECC is the most nurturing environment there is for young kids ! from top notch curriculum to loads of extracurricular activities. teachers and staff who love the kids like their own and take pride in their work and the kids accomplishments. My daughter is in kindergarten and we are having such a great year! She can’t wait to go to school in the mornings ! The school spirit is unreal and her teachers are always there to help her is she shows any sign of a minor struggle. We are so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful school! If you are looking for a great school to sned your kids look no further !

I’ve only been at this school for 3 quarters of my freshman year now, but I can definitively say that I have had the best learning experiences here. The teachers are beyond helpful, especially the special education teachers in the integrated classes, and respond very quickly to any questions or concerns you may have. However, there are a few issues that impact me at this school. Firstly, the student body is significantly divided. I have met people who rigorously study and take all honors classes, and people who do not take their academics seriously, but I haven’t met much “average” students. This creates a tense and competitive atmosphere for those who are honor roll students (this is talked about often over here).The second problem I have with this school is the school counselors. In my experience, to put it simply, I have not had as much interactions with my councilor as I would like. There are an incredibly dense amount of students who have the same councilor as me, so I would be lucky to get an appointment within a month. Fortunately, the school provided me with an amazing phycologist who helps me with aspects that my school councilor does not have the time to help me with. To end this review, I would like to say that my problems are nothing compared to the amazing education and resources that this school offers.

I have a current 4th and 5th grader at HES, both of whom have been at the school since 2nd grade. Their teachers have been truly remarkable in inspiring the students' interest in learning. All of their instructors have been great at actually getting to know the students individually and thus understanding how to best present new material to them. The curriculum itself has been very strong. I have been happy with the enrichment the school has provided the academically motivated students. The open communication between the administration and the parents is commendable as well. It's nice to know that my children are being watched out for while we aren't around.

Hewlett woodmere is the best district with the best teachers!! My 3 children got a top notch education! There is so much to offer and so my services for children who are in need of them. The teachers are there because they love their job not because they have to be there. My middle daughter had such an amazing experience she chose to become. a teacher. She is blessed to teach 8th grade English and Social Studies at Woodmere Middle School. Her dream job since a 3rd grade student at Hewlett Elementary. She loves her job and each an every student!
