I have four kids that attend Wheatland Elementary. All four of them have very different personalities and needs and all four of them get their educational needs met as well as social-emotional needs. They teachers are great communicators and get creative to ensure their students have success. I always know what my kids are learning, giving me the opportunity to stay involved in their education. When i send my students to school, i know they are loved and cared for. I couldn't ask for a better elementary educational experience.

My daughter attended this school from kindergarten to fourth grade. She was always excited to go to school each morning and always had something positive to say when school ended each afternoon. The principal Mr. Hoy is simply awesome and genuinely cares about the students. The teachers are outstanding as well. She is moving up to 5th grade and will be attending a different school in the usd 262 district this year and has said how much she will miss Abilene. Wonderful school in the district!

We have been so impressed by the teachers and administrators at West Elementary. We live in Wichita but fall in the Valley Center School district and we are so happy we do. Our daughter can’t wait to go to school every day to see her teachers and new friends.

Great teachers and faculty that genuinely care about student's education, sports, and growth as individuals. I graduated in 2013 and had a well rounded experience here with little to complain about. Met many great people and had so many opportunities to get involved. I really believe this school prepared me for college and would recommend it.
