About this House

Welcome to this move-in ready home located in the highly sought after Derby school district. Beautiful engineered hardwood Tobacco Road acacia floors run throughout the main living area and kitchen, with commercial grade carpet that was installed in the hall and primary suite just in 2024. The living room features vaulted beamed ceilings with clerestory windows that let in plenty of natural light, along with a newer picture window installed in 2023. The kitchen has been fully remodeled with maple cabinets, Corian countertops, integrated sinks, tumbled travertine tile, handmade decorative tile and a handmade mandala centerpiece imported from Spain. There's also a walk in pantry, with an additional sink and counter space right across from it, ideal for a coffee bar. A counter height bar right off the kitchen island gives friends and family a spot to hang out while you entertain. From the kitchen, step out the sliding glass door to an expansive deck and newer concrete patio, overlooking a large lot with established trees surrounding it and privacy fencing. The deck was built in 2020 with composite deck boards and hidden fasteners, 70% shade panels for cover, grapevine trellis at the west end and even a cat ladder to the top of the pergola! It's perfect for evening dinners with the family or coffee and bird watching in the mornings. The hall bath was refinished in 2024 with new LVT flooring, new toilet and a resurfaced tub. The primary suite has a fully remodeled en-suite bathroom with a zero-entry shower and genuine imported encaustic tile, plus its own doors leading out to the back deck. The basement is fully finished, with new flooring in the bedrooms and freshly painted in 2024. It includes a large family room with a fireplace, built-in shelving throughout, three additional bonus rooms and a third full bathroom. This bathroom was fully remodeled in 2022 and feels like your own private spa, with a deep soaking tub for two, imported Italian tile and even an anti-fog mirror. Perfect for unwinding at the end of the day, the tub has 14 jets, lighting, a silent motor with an inline water heater to maintain temperature while running as well as an ozonator anti-bacterial unit. Two of the bonus rooms are fully finished with closets and the third is a hobby room, purposely left unfinished, with a large antique cast iron sink, integrated drain boards on a sink base and new light fixtures. This home truly has been well maintained and offers plenty of space to spread out. Book your showing today! Seller is related to listing agent.

"Our community has most everything we need so don’t need to go to the closest bigger city very often."
  • Sroberts10
"Lots of community events, great parks and walking/biking paths, local rec center and wonderful library."
  • Dunfamily55
"Derby is a lovely, small city with easy access to Wichita, both east and west sides of the city. It Is a very safe place to live, with very little crime, extremely decent schools & nice city amenities here too. The Derby Recreation Center has many excellent programs for all ages of children and families. Worth checking that out, since it’s a great way to meet locals if you’re new to Derby. The public library here in Derby is absolutely fantastic as well. The people are mostly friendly and welcoming & it’s a lovely place to live, with really everything you need so trips into Wichita are mostly unnecessary to have to make. "
  • Anonymous
"It’s a safe city here in Derby. It’s close to Wichita but feels a little isolated, enough that nobody comes down here from Wichita just to cause trouble, it doesn’t seem like. Schools Seem to be good & sports programs in the schools seem to be doing well. There’s a fairly nice senior center for exercising here in Derby too. "
  • Lisa B
"I have nothing to say for the most part. Have tried to meet neighbors in the three years living here. However, only one friendly one. "
  • Sroberts10
"Friendly, safe community with great parks and family activities. Great rec center, food options and shopping. Small town feel that’s close to Wichita."
  • Yprgjsshxg
"Lots of houses decorate for Halloween and make it a fun event. Also, lots of Christmas decorations to drive around and see."

  • T.S.
"We have a great elementary school, we live right across the street from the high school. The main Derby shopping is just a few blocks away. You can find your church home not too far away from home. High park is just a bike ride away. Our neighborhood puts on the best 4th of July display every year and it has the best view of High Park’s display also!"
  • Marissa S.
"There are many dogs that live around the area, and almost all are friendly dogs. But there are some that are not on leashes. "
  • Kathic69
"great parks, friendly people. everything is conveniently located, small town atmosphere. very safe place to live."
