"Plenty of dog walkers and good community involvement in dog adoption. Several fund raisers to help the humane society as well. Great place for animals. "
  • Rxdawg1996
"Most dog owners are very considerate about cleaning up after their dogs. A couple off leash parks are nearby. "
  • Malya Larsen
"Love it here. So peaceful and many people are super friendly. It’s a small town feel and the beaches are gorgeous "
  • Cbuhr8688
"The commute is horrible. I work in Everett as a RN and it takes me almost 2 hours to get home. Getting through Stanwood to Camano Island is awful. Everyone here is old and drives slow. "
  • Gardn2000@aol.com
"This is a dog friendly community with a couple off leash beaches and dog friendly trails ( on leash) with complimentary dog waste bags. "
  • Morningsinparadise
"Safe well established community and neighbors, quiet and friendly. Good school system, free public transportation available for pick up and drop off at residence. Abundant wildlife such as deer, coyotes, raccoons, bald eagles, squirrels, rabbits, owls and frogs and many different bird species. The North end of Camano seems to be less populated and more private. Has that country feeling yet 10-15 minutes to Grocery Stores. Many beautiful views of the Sound, MT Baker and Olympics and Mt Rainer on a clear day. Easy exploring and trails at Iverson Spit preserve. Great library at the commons. Camano has a lot to offer to it’s residents. And the sunsets are spectacular over the water!"
  • Toni G.
"Do not own a dog or know anything about them so cannot answer question. Not a good place for dogs to be off leash although there is an off leash dog park nearby"
  • Djferg85
"Great outdoor space, wonderful opportunities to spend time outside, close to Stanwood and within 30 minutes of major shopping,"
  • Jayson B.
"Lots of other dog owners walk their dogs regularly around the neighborhoods. It's a safe, quiet place to live. "
  • Jayson B.
"Music and game nights at the Elger Bay Store, Farmers Market at Terry's Corner, geocaching events, etc."
  • Rainclds
"People are always walking their dogs by my house. Beautiful water, island, and Mountain View’s along the way. "
  • Rainclds
"I live on an island. It is a rural community. The commute to town is about 15 minutes. Thirty to sixty minutes to bigger and more quality and quantity shopping and accessibilities. "
  • ashleyasherman
"It's quiet, safe, and everyone is very friendly. My husband and I love living in the Country Club community of Caman Island."
  • ladenger
"Most people in Seattle and Western Washington have never been to Camano, and the fact it is accessible via a bridge and not a ferry is even more incredible. This is a perfect "unknown" place to escape the big city hassles and enjoy nature as you can do so well in Washington State!"
  • Lisa S.
"Beautiful, peaceful area. A truly peaceful place to live year round or for a place of retreat."
  • mhockeychic82
"I used to live down just down the street from this house. I used to walk down to the beaches with my dogs and we used the county boat launch that is about 5 minutes away. great community. "
  • bebay40
"We have lived on Camano Island for a year and a half now since July 2012 and could not have picked a more beautiful area. The island has amazing views from all sides. Traffic is light and speed limits are reasonable. Highly recommend everyone take a drive around the island at least one time."
  • Stanthonys_mouse
"I just bought in this area and am thrilled. The view is to die for; neighbors are super nice, friendly, and helpful; traffic along the road is quiet; great parks and beach access nearby; clean neighborhood where family, kids, pets are all safe. There are a couple of nice restaurants on the island, but mostly it is for retirees, couples, and families who want a secure, beautiful, clean, safe, fun, quiet place for their home. "
