5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter loves her friends and enjoys school but it is really sad that the teachers and principal has not control over the students. So far parents went on campus fought kids, someone peppered sprayed. So many kids getting jumped and half the time students do not even go to the school. Not enough is being done to keep students safe. Even if they find who threatened the school nothing will be done to the kids. They should start fining the parents and I guarantee they will finally get control of there kids. Very disappointed in this school. The teachers and 4th R staff are wonderful and the kids are sweet. Our son is happy to arrive and all smiles when he leaves. "Lots of activities to do especially on the weekends at land park. You have the zoo, a small amphitheater, children sized amusement park. A fun 9 hole golf course is smack dab in the middle. The ponds occasionally get stocked with fish as well. ( do not eat them, Mercury )"

"I’ve been in the south land park/ pocket/ Hollywood park area my whole life and it’s a great place to live. Homelessness has gone up as it has everywhere unfortunately. The true land Parker’s can also be pretty stuck up , as in if you listen to the way they talk after 5 seconds you can practically name the street. Other than that it’s awesome. "

"I lived here for 60 years and I love it here it’s so peaceful and the neighbors are very nice. This neighborhood is very safe for our children there is no guns or people fighting outside. "

"Have three kids and I feel it's fairly safe for them to play outside, ride bikes around the neighborhood. Some good schools are close by, lots of other kids to play with and many parks and rec activities relatively close"

"I,ve lived in the area since purchasing our home in 1971 and most of the original owners have died and then "flippers come in and do an open concept to the interiors. Way more street traffic now!"

"People stay here forever then their kids come back and live here. Can’t beat proximity to everything, freeways, good restaurants, grocery stores, library, etc. Would not live in the County or suburbs where the Sacramento county sheriff has jurisdiction. We have police and fire response in 3-5 minutes, but, have no crime to speak of. Very safe and walkable. "
