3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFirst off, don’t let test scores and kids from Airport district scare you. You can pick and choose your friends. The programs this school offers are amazing. At first, there’s the standard sports teams, then there’s the academic competition teams. I didn’t play school sports, but I still play sports, but I did the academic competitions and let me tell you, if you love to compete do these. La loma provides several of these competitions including math Super bowl, Robotics, future cities, academic pentathlon, and the biggest of them all Science Olympiad. I participated in science Olympiad and future cities. Our science Olympiad team and robotics team always qualify for state so if you want a school where you can make many good friends who are gold people, these activities are amazing to be apart of. Next, the teachers in honors are awesome in 7th grade there is no one that isn’t less than amazing for 8th grade the teachers aren’t as good but still pretty good and fun. PE is fun, the students get to choose what they do, where other schools make you do a certain activity, La Loma lets you pick. I am graduating this year and will miss the memories I made these two years.Other Review4y ago - Sonoma Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been attending Sonoma since 2012. I have had a child attend the GATE program and another in the GEN ed program. Both programs have been amazing. Every teacher we have had has been caring and effective. When I have raised concerns about progress or behavior, I have been listened to and the situation has been solved. Sonoma offers field trips, music, and choir. My favorite program is the Amigos. This program had general education students working with special education students. This program shows students how to be respectful too all people. They also have a future teacher program where students sign up and help teachers on campus. Once a year they host a school play by the Missoula Children’s Theatre company. This gives students the opportunity to act, sing and dance on stage! Sonoma is an amazing site with a dedicated staff.Parent Review3y ago - Thomas Downey High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDear Community Member,Your comments about Pharmacy School and Pharm.D. graduates reflect either extreme naivety or extreme ignorance! Pharmacy Schools such as UC San Francisco are as competitive as many U.S. Medical Schools and Law Schools. The acceptance rate for recent entering classes at UCSF Pharmacy School was on the order of 1/20 applicants and entering student GPAs are well above 3.5. I suggest that before so ignorantly dismissing doctoral degree programs such as Pharmacy, please do your research! Current Pharmacy School graduates in California earn starting salaries in the $150,000 per year range and work along side physicians and other members of the medical care team in such areas as Diabetes Care, Congestive Heart Failure, Anticoagulant Therapy, Medication Therapy, and Primary Care to name but a few. In the future, Pharmacists will be called upon to increase their involvement in direct patient care with their drug therapy expertise. And, Thomas Downey High definitely prepared me to excel in my chosen profession of Pharmacy.Other Review8y ago - Check out schools near 1317 Eastridge Dr.

"My neighborhood is a great area for dog owners. Good parks nice sidewalks to give you space. There is a variety of dog owners walking through my area and never have an issue. Only problem i can see is if your dog isnt properly trained or if you dont pick up after your own dog. I dont see alot of issues like that in my area "

"This neighborhood is well lit for the most part at night. Everyone keeps their yard maintained. We have families and homeowners of all ages and all are active in walking through the neighborhood, riding bicycles and walking their dogs. Our neighborhood is quiet and without drama. I feel safe walking around at night. The only major complaint I have about the neighborhood I live in now, is that vehicles have a tendency to not realize how fast they going intentionally or not it can be frustrating. All in all I love living here. The elementary school is just a few blocks away for my son to attend and for my daughter to catch the bus. That is another fantastic perk about this neighborhood, the public transportation, MAXX bus is literally just around the corner!! I live within walking distance of two different parks. I am close to the shopping center, pharmacy, retail stores and almost every type and kind of fast food you could imagine."
