7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat experience overall at this school. The principal and the entire staff have excellent communication across the board. This school is headed in the right direction to ensure the students receive an excellent level of understanding with their assigned coursework. The only thing I would recommend that's outside of the Principal hands is the [grading scale to eliminate the 1,2,3,4 grading] into letter grades starting 3rd grade and up. This will help students better understand their learning progress, and parents can measure their performance. Again, the grading scale is set at the county level. Overall, the principal/assistant does an exceptional job ensuring the students have the right tools to be successful and provides consistent communication, I love my daughter's 3rd-grade teacher. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 3 sons went through Ni River Middle School, and all had great experiences. Middle school is the most challenging time for boys and in my experience the staff handled navigating my son's through extremely well. My oldest was in the gifted program, middle had a learning disability, and youngest went through the pandemic. The classes were small enough for the teachers to work with the kids and most of the kids in the school participated in academic, athletic or artistic activities. "It’s rural yet urban at the same time . You can be in the woods in a minute or at the shopping mall in 10. I love how we have the best of both worlds in this area. There is nothing better than a bonfire on a cool night and being able to run to the store if you forgot the marshmallows! This is where I am happy to raise my kiddos! "
