While the students present at this school system are lacking in the way of motivation for their education, the teacher's I've had are phenomenal at helping those who take the initiative. Many teachers will go out of their way to help their students when those students come to them. For example, Mr. and Mrs. Copeland stay after school nearly every day offering tutoring and other assistance to their students. They, among numerous others, have helped myself tremendously during this senior year of mine.The downsides to this school consists of the office staff, whom clearly hold favorites out of the student body, which is really quite unfortunate. Also, too much money goes to sports, such as football, whereas my science teachers have struggled in procuring the funds for science labs, often times paying for the materials out of pocket. Additionally, the students themselves are lackluster, with fights happening far too often.

Tried to force my son out of special education with him being a fourth grade student with a first grade reading level with no plan as to get him back on track. Wouldn’t let me hold him back or change teachers when there was a problem. My child has multiple health and learning problems. Wouldn’t recommend unless you work there. That’s the only way you can get help or play sports here.

5 stars with caring staff and great communication.

This school and staff is very friendly, but geared mostly toward sports (football, basketball, etc.) This school was also recently rated as a 4 out of 10. That is not dependable and the high school is much worse ( 2 out of 10). The Anderson County school is not passing, but is much better than Campbell County (rated 6 out of 10.) I do not recommend this as a school for dependability for education.

I was a former student lms is not a good place in the long run, theres fights/threats of fights every week. Drug dogs are always ussally there and people always vaping in the bathroom. That's just the kids some of the teachers arnt better the best teachers there would be Mr.miller, mr.baird,mrs.powers,mr.wilson,mrs.chadwell. they are the only trachers that will truly listen to you, this school can treat you bad if your considered "dumb" your basically over looked and not given chances.

This school lacks communication in regards to special education. Preschool students use a visual behavior chart in the classroom so are shamed when their color gets moved. The curriculum is dated. No art is offered. PE teacher treats extracurricular jump rope team like a serious sport and drills versus excites. The yearly state exam stresses kids out and parents are encouraged to send in a card for each day? My daughter felt physically ill from anxiety from the build up to those weeks. Children are a product from their parents in this town. If your kids are different, they will stand out.

Small community with a big heart. Teachers are nice and care about the students. My son went to this school the last 4 years. He has always been taught respect and high standards. The school has the 21st Century Program for after school tutoring, reading, math, art, and science. They also have basketball for student to have things to do after school.

Wonderful school with great teachers and staff

Love it I'm a student there and I've went there all my life my whole family went there. I'm in the fifth grade and I'm sort of sad to see it go cause I'm going to middle school
