Description

This light and airy 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is centrally located and in a very safe neighborhood. It is close to downtown and campus, 3 major grocery stores and shops. The cozy house has been continuously rented over the last 8 years by grad students and young professionals. Move In Date is open for discussion.

Features include a recently remodeled kitchen, on-site laundry, a peaceful private backyard and two living rooms. Central AC & Heat, plus ceiling fans in each bedroom, keep you comfortable year round. Enjoy peace of mind and save money on energy with thoughtful eco upgrades like LED lights, dual pane windows, water-efficient appliances, and drought resistant landscaping. Make this home yours for your next few years in Davis.

Inside the House: Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and light, a dual-pane window with blinds, carpeted floor, and a sizable closet. The master bedroom is 13x10 and has its own bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, and window). The other two bedrooms (10x10 x 9.5x10) share a hall bathroom (bathtub/shower, toilet, sink, and window). There is ample shared storage space with three hallway closets.

The upgraded kitchen includes a large fridge, gas stove/oven, microwave, and an efficient Bosch dishwasher and opens to the large main living room. Past the kitchen is a second cozy sunken living room with a brick fireplace and sliding glass door to the back patio.

The large two-car garage has a laundry station with washer and dryer, and ample storage space for your bikes and other outdoor gear.

Outdoor Space: Low-maintenance, eco-friendly landscaping is prioritized. The front yard has four young orange trees and mostly native flowering plants to attract bees and hummingbirds. The backyard has a patio and more young fruit trees - apple, peach, fig, grape, and pomegranate - plus a small raised bed garden, a few larger trees for shade, and more native flowering plants. The backyard is fenced in for privacy and solitude.

Location: Near downtown and easy bike ride to campus, conveniently situated between the Nugget, Davis Food Co-op, and Grocery Outlet. The tree-lined street is has newly installed bike lanes and ample unrestricted street parking.

Management & Maintenance: Owned, managed, and maintained by a local couple with three young children. We are reliable, responsive, courteous, and appreciative. We both studied and worked at UCD, so we can empathize with your situation. We have tried to create an ideal home for a PHD student, post-doc or young professional - the type of home we would have wanted when we were in your place. We take good care of the house and have made a few thoughtful upgrades, without making it too luxurious to be unaffordable for your limited income. We hope you like it so much that you stay for many years!

  • Trulia User
"Parks everywhere you walk. Close to stores. Bike friendly. Dog friendly. People friendly. Beautiful "
  • Trulia User
"lots of grass for dogs to poop and pee. however, this area is extremely expensive. so, if you want to live here, you probably can't afford to have a dog. You'll probably barely be able to take care of yourself. good luck! we're all doomed here in California. "
  • Trulia User
"Fabulous old neighborhood that will be turning over very soon. Many houses are getting renovated and put up for sale. Careful of where you buy though. Certain neighborhoods have access to pools and gyms and some do not. Make sure you decide carefully"
  • Trulia User
"Neighbors meet in the cul de sac on Thursday nights to visit. Everyone brings their own chair and preferred beverage. We actually really like each other. Occasionally we will put up a big screen and watch a movie outside. "

"Good city just too expensive. You get what you paid for. If you hate driving and like riding bikes it’s perfect. If you like to drive you’re going to hate all the bike lanes."
