8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from TNT in 1984 and I went on to college at San Diego State University where I graduated with a bachelors degree in aerospace engineering. I was also accepted at UCLA into their aerospace engineering program. But university of California is a lot more expensive then the state school system. Tahoe Truckee high school was awesome for me. I graduated third in my class. I was involved with student counsel, baseball, basketball. My junior year (83) of playing basketball we won the Nevada AA state championships. My senior year we lost in the first round.Other Review8y ago - Truckee Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI couldn't be more pleased with Truckee El and the overall school district. We moved to Truckee from Southern Marin 3 years ago (where schools are ranked "10"), and the schools here are absolutely on par, if not better in Language Arts specifically. Truckee El should be ranked a lot higher than it is. The leadership is incredible and the teachers are so passionate about their jobs. My children's CAASPP scores have improved, which is a telling indicator since they are still testing with the same cohort.Parent Review6y ago - Alder Creek Middle School

"Truckee is a great place to have a dog or multiple dogs. There are national parks and open spaces where dogs can run off leash safely without the danger of cars. If you don’t have a tracker or if your dog doesn’t return on command then you might want to think about keeping them on a leash. There is a lot of wild life to make your dog run off and get lost. "

"Tahoe and Donner are as beautiful as it gets, and the mountains are beautiful. Too bad vrbo and Airbnb have ruined the long term rental market."
