Great TINY school choice in the St. Louis suburbs, where the high schools are huge. Kids don't get away with anything... They are on top of it. Having said that, there are some limitations. No football program and the concert band is small. (No marching.) Also, these kids might have a bit of a shock when they get to college and the teachers aren't hounding them about missing homework or late papers! My son put it this way, "Valley Park is so small we're like family. And you can't be mad at family too long, because you see them every day. We just all get along."

Love this school district so much. The care each kid receives is top of the line. Small class sizes, teachers who have been there for a long time, and students that care are what makes this a great school. It’s a public school with a private feel.

In my experience, Valley Park Sr. High School has been a very negative environment. I felt that bullying was not handled effectively, and many students did not feel supported when they reported problems. There were times when I felt unsafe or that student concerns were not taken seriously. I also believe the school needs to do a much better job of addressing student behavior, improving communication, and creating a respectful learning environment. While some teachers were helpful, my overall experience was disappointing, and I would like to see stronger action to make students feel safer and more supported.
