"Safe place, you must drive everywhere. Lots of small town politics. Schools are ok. Groceries and everyday things are expensive. Beautiful area where there is lots of open space. "

"Most people don’t pick up after their dogs while walking them. This is a common complaint in the area. Some people will clean up after their dog then throw it in your trash bin by the side of the road. That’s even worse!"

"Sitting in prime location for countless recreational opportunities or travel to all points north,south,east and west. Walk to Rugg Pond, Seven Bridges, State Rustic Horse Camp or Kaliseum. State Land and trails system right out the door, including Shore to Shore horse trail system. Quick 5 minutes to conveniences in Kalkaska, Torch Lake, Turtle Creek Casino. 15 minutes to East Bay/Acme area including new Meijers. 20 minutes to Traverse City. Up and coming Kalkaska schools offer beautiful new buildings, or utilize Elk Rapids school district through schools of choice program. "

"Wonderful community. Great schools, place of worship, shopping and fine dining, golf courses and much more. Hunting opportunity among thousands of acres of state land. Groomed trails for horse back riding, ORV for quads and snowmobiles, Hundreds of lakes and streams for fishing, swimming and boating!!"
