Built in 1914 by Judd and Lydia Montague, this home was a very unique design for the relatively newly formed Crestview Subdivision. The Crestview Subdivision was formed after the Andrew Wilson Farm was sold to a group of developers based in Cleveland and subdivided into what is now the "Crestview Area" of Clintonville.

Among other occupations, the Montagues were inventors and songwriters. J.W. held a patent on a "rabbeting plane" handplane tool which was manufactured and marketed by the Stanley Tool company in the early 1900's. Lydia and J.W. co-wrote the 1913 musical composition "The Sawdust Trail".

German village is very fun and exciting area to live in, plenty of restaurants and parks to spend your time walking your dog through. "
