My daughter is on a 504 plan and they were extremely accommodating over the last year during COVID and use of online school systems. I highly recommend this school for the Newport News area. Very wonderful and knowledgeable staff, my daughter has never had a hard time being at this school. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school doesn’t communicate at all. Your kid could be in danger and they wouldn’t tell you. There’s fights every day, there’s teachers tackling kids to break up the fights, there’s lockdowns and your kid won’t get out of school on time and you won’t know why. You also won’t get an explanation after the fact either. No apology. This school just doesn’t care. We went and talked to the assistant principal and he’s totally uncaring, and said, “middle school kids are annoying”. Nice. Coming from admin. Can’t even pretend to enjoy his job.Parent Review1y ago

"I just moved to this neighborhood and I love it. Neighbors are very friendly, everybody gives you a warm welcome. Feels very safe, pretty quiet community. I love it. "

"I’ve lived here in this area of Newport News for about 3 years. The neighborhood is nice people have a habit of not picking up after their dogs but other than that I haven’t had any issues."

"It’s the center of everything. Yes we can have a good call and then we will bring the bus back with us tomorrow at 10am. I’m sorry I didn’t feel that bad but I’ll call you later. I just don’t know how to get to work tomorrow morning. The only thing I can do is to get to work and get to the gym tomorrow morning at 9am "
