Some teachers seem to prioritize their own comfort over what’s best for students—keeping classrooms dark by covering lights, even though bright lighting is important for children’s eyesight, focus, and energy. It feels inconsiderate, especially when students are the ones affected.Also, the drop-off area is very cramped and stressful to drive through. There's barely enough room to pass without risking a scrape. The school should really take a look at both of these issues!

Have no problems with the school but lack of communication, never hear from teachers, kids never bring home anything to study for finals or a test. My student tells me all.time they don't teach us anything.

We are incredibly grateful for the support our family has received from the staff at this school. The care, attention, and understanding shown have made a meaningful difference in our daily lives.The school nurse, her assistant, and the counselor have truly gone above and beyond. Not only in supporting our child, but in keeping us informed every step of the way. Their communication is consistent, thoughtful, and reassuring. It’s clear they genuinely care, and that compassion shows in everything they do.Having a team like this in place gives us peace of mind and reminds us that we’re not facing these challenges alone. We truly appreciate the dedication and heart they bring to their roles every day.

Our family moved from Klein ISD to Conroe ISD, with only our youngest son still in school. We hoped he would thrive, make friends, and enjoy the new environment, but his first year (2025-2026 term, 6th grade) has been deeply disappointing and challenging. The teachers assigned to him have been consistently rude and unprofessional, often complaining and contacting me during my work hours to report concerns about his behavior or academics. Although I recognize my son’s behavior isn’t always perfect, discouraging remarks from teachers—like “I’ve lost all hope in you” and “I can’t help you”—have only made matters worse. My son has a learning disability, is easily distracted, and finds loud environments overstimulating, but these needs have not been met with understanding or support. The classroom environment is harsh, with teachers raising their voices in response to misbehavior, increasing anxiety and discomfort. Bullying is a serious problem; my son has both witnessed and experienced students making inappropriate gestures and threats, including threats involving ICE. Though reports are filed, nothing seems to change or improve. Teachers rarely listen to students, dismissing my son’s attempts to explain himself. Even during the holidays, when we offered gifts to his teachers, we noticed a lack of appreciation. Our experience at Klein ISD was much more positive, and we miss the supportive environment there. The transition has been difficult for our entire family, leading us to seriously consider homeschooling. I’m unfamiliar with other local options and cannot recommend another school. Despite ongoing development in the area, the schools have not kept pace with improvement, and it may be several years before Conroe ISD reaches the quality found at Katy ISD.
