My kids have excelled here and love their teachers and how they are challenged to excel. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt has been close to a year since my son has been going to this school, we recently moved to Eugene from a relatively more diverse school. As a person of color, I was scared after reading some of the reviews here and I thought I should put in a more "recent" update. The school and staff have been nothing but welcoming and supportive. My son appears to really enjoy school and has made several friends. Academically, he is progressing well. They put him at one level advanced math to accommodate his skills, some places do not have the flexibility. He is also given worksheets, online projects and fun group projects (including coding and 3D printing). The bi-monthly reports and assessments let us know how students are performing academically. There are decent opportunities and clubs for students to engage in (chess, track n field etc). I can't speak for individual cases and capabilities but the school seems to be a good one for middle schoolers.Parent Review1y ago - Sheldon High School
