4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageformer southern student and, after going to college originally for education, though finding myself in another field entirely after a few years, I can say that most people don't realize how lucky they are to attend a school like Southern - with amazing opportunities for all types of extra curriculars, budgeting to accommodate students desires both in and outside of the classroom, and a pay structure to retain talented teachers. Especially, given the size of the community Southern supports they really do a good job of making students feel more then a number (I graduated with nearly 1000 students so I can attest to this). Sure, there are going to be some teachers that are better than others (any school or university has this issue) but if students feel they were not given the chance to be extremely successful at southern they just did not take advantage of all the school system has to offer.Other Review1y ago - Southern Reg Middle School

We are so glad we did the previous middle was a “great” school that didn’t live up to its review unless your student fit the mold. "There has been an increase in the primary home owners on LBI . During the Winter you may have less businesses open but don't let that stop you from enjoying some quiet time in the neighborhood. You will find the locals at Daddy'Os and even on the beach . Great place to be for families and retirees."
