I've come to realizing there are a lot of politics involved in these school ratings. I learned that schools have to pay a "membership" fee to get accreditations, if they don't pay thier school loses accreditation. People assume that means the school is bad like I did, it doesn't! Also a student just confirmed there are AP classes at the school, but one of the ratings are low for Harlan because they claim there are no AP classes. Nonetheless, my point is don't rely on these national "rating" systems to determine the quality of the schools. They give favorable ratings and accreditations to schools who pay thier "membership" fees and low ratings to schools who don't to make you believe the school is subpar

My rating of this school comes from my experience being around the principal,.parent volunteers, teachers and students. This place is representative of a true community/family oriented school. Everyone there works so very hard to make sure that the students are getting the best education possible. They true put kids FIRST here.
