I have to say that I find it very interesting that on the website itself there's nothing but good review's. But I have never had a good experience at this school being a student or now having my own child attend there. I'm very happy that I chose to move my children out of the area and into a different School District. My daughter who is normally a very happy person who loves to attend school and teacher say she is a joy to have in the classroom and is a helpful student was shutting down and telling me she did not want to go back, she was not enjoying her time there. Other students were rude and bullying her. I also had experience that when I attended. Her teacher was demanding and would expect a lot out of each student and if they are not producing the best grades possible it seems that they get punished. I tried talking with my daughter's teacher about her possibly being ADHD and having difficulties focusing and finishing her class work on time. She was being punished and having to stay in from Recess to finish her page's With no help every day. She was coming home in tears and explaining she did not want to go to school anymore. Same experience that I had had and it broke my heart seeing that after 20 year's nothing has changed. I am pleased since I moved my child out of this school things have changed. But I am still appalled by the information I get from friends who still have children attending there. It's mixed review's. If your child is doing great and has only good grades then it seems to be a perfect fit but if you're child needs any assistance or is falling behind even the slightest they seem to have no concern and feel the student just needs to try harder and do better. Instead of helping them and giving them guidance. Make them feel as though they're not smart and then they shut down. That's not good for a student they need to be built up and shown that even though it's hard they can persevere through with help. I experienced similar situations when I attended. I only had one teacher I ever really enjoyed. Sadly she has left the school many years ago Miss Chevelle. I never enjoyed my time at the school and neither did my children. When trying to confront the teachers about these concerns they seem to give you attitude as if you're the one not doing your hardest to try and help your child. Her teacher had nothing but bad thing's to say about her. But not at her new school for the past 4 year's nothing but good report card's!!! And awards!
