I really love this school. They really care about me here and I’ve learned so much. I feel safe and noticed. Once, I started having a panic attack during a pep rally. I had met the principal probably one or two time a while before. I made eye contact and he immediately knew I was overstimulated. He had remembered and knew how I am with these things. He helped me get my stuff and took me for a walk to calm down. He brought me to a quiet space with an adult and made the bad situation a good memory. This is by far the cleanest school I’ve been to as well. The school has a ton of windows and I don’t feel like I’m in a prison here. The courtyard also has beautiful flowers and just looks well kept and amazing. All of my teachers are amazing and have helped me succeed. They genuinely want to help me here and I cannot express how much I love this school.

A Grateful Parent of a Washington Elementary GraduateOne of my children recently graduated from Washington Elementary in Riviera Beach, and while I’m so proud of their growth and success, I already miss the incredible support and care the school provides. Thankfully, I still have a child attending—and because of the leadership of Principal Dr. Vernicka Murray, I know my child is in the best hands.Dr. Murray is an outstanding leader who makes a lasting impact. She is present, involved, and deeply committed to every student’s success. She takes time to know the students and families, and she creates a culture of respect, learning, and encouragement. She leads with both strength and compassion, and it shows in how smoothly the school runs and how confident the children are.Thanks to Dr. Murray and her amazing team, my graduate left Washington fully prepared for the next chapter. My younger child continues to grow because of the strong instruction, structure, and support the school provides daily. Dr. Murray sets the tone and builds a true school family.I am so thankful for the care and dedication shown by everyone at Washington Elementary. It’s clear that under Dr. Murray’s leadership, this school is a place where children thrive!!!

This school is helpful! my kids had a F when they first went there now there both keeping a A in each class. my kids have gotten a lot better at reading and math they also learned how to cook with the culinary department, and the band is wonderful! my kids have joined the band and they both loved it!
