"The park district is always putting on different events. The Easter festival is one of our favorites."
  • Eve Balembois
"Sedona Dogs and owners seem respectful and well behaved. Dogs observed are not allowed to run amuck as in other places. It is rare to see dogs without a leash. Only in protected areas."
  • Cachanilla96
"To me at least it’s important that kids practice safely when playing outside. Many times I see them riding their bicycles without any helmet on and don’t pay attention to the traffic "
  • Amy Charlebois
"This is a great place to walk your dog. There’s lots of trails near by and walking on the streets is also a great option. "
  • Melanie Scanlan Segal
"It’s quiet and peaceful here. The views of the red rocks are amazing. Great restaurants too! You cannot beat VOC!!!"
  • Trulia User
"Love my neighborhood! Close to everything and very friendly. Check out all the nearby hikes. Great drive to Uptown and West Sedona…those views"
  • Trulia User
"Bell Rock, Castle Rock and Courthouse Butte are our backyard! Iconic rock formations, small town vibe "
  • Trulia User
"It is beautiful! They call it big park for good reason. There are many trailheads nearby. Great weather too!"
  • Shannon.watt
"Sedona puts on great community events that are wonderful for my family including The Halloween event in uptown, Dia de los Muertos and the Tree Lightning ceremony at Tlaquepaque "
  • Ian M. T.
"Horrible people complain about barking dogs constantly, it dangerous without for animals without a fence but many city ordinances will not allow fences to be built "
  • Marco. P.
"My commute is horrible due to traffic. Best time to travel is before 7am and after 6pm. Uptown is a mess with the new construction on the roadway. "
  • Aviator3232
"nice clean area seems to be family friendly as far as i can tell but im not here with kids. i would definitely recommend this area to everyone as a place for vacationing. "
  • Tzaun91
"Parents should know that Sedona is a wonderful place to live and West Sedona School and Sedona Red Rock High School/Junior High are the best schools in town. "
  • Mcdanielle711
"We have an international Film Festival here in February and lots of Art and Athletic events. This is one of the most beautiful towns in the western part of the US."
  • Lori T.
"my neighborhood is extremely close knit. even with social distancing we enjoy getting beverages and a chair and sitting in the cul-de-sac so that we can visit with one another at a safe distance. in this neighborhood everyone looks out for one another "
  • Lori T.
"you see a lot of dog owners but you must be aware of the wildness of the area. coyotes, Bob cats and javelinas are all over the area . Make sure to use caution after dark because of this fact. "
  • Adam M.
"This neighborhood is within walking distance to the Tlaquepaque Arts area where frequent events occur."
  • Amy C.
"Sedona has become one of the most popular tourist destinations. So living here, leaves me longing for a more neighborly community. A lot of the homes are bought up and used as air b& b’s. So not a very warm friendly vibe. "
  • Jzjzace
"The majority of people in the area are retired. Schools are closing due to not having enough kids living in the area. The food is horrible unless your from the west coast. They don’t know what real Italian food is. The closest you can get to pizza is in the frozen food in a grocery store. The local people are always angry about the tourist. Traffic is getting like California. Too many people from CA are here visiting and buying houses here. So that means your dealing with stupid people. "
  • Jhxander
"Our neighborhood has no public transportation. And my commute is only a mile so I can walk or drive. "
  • Cassandra A.
"Church, bbqs, drum circles, hikes, massage and yoga! I enjoy the small town feel. VOC is where I’m located. With nice and friendly people. "
  • Jzjzace
"More of a retirement community with California tourism pushing their way in along with their socialism ways "
  • Dwightodonnell
"No elementary school in the Village of Oak Creek, all children are bused to Sedona. Great hiking and biking trails, lots of wildlife."
  • Ednalane317
"Beautiful scenery and a safe, pleasant, short distant getaway, and affordable area to visit. We are hard working people that want to go somewhere to relax and escape from our working schedule. We love Sedona! "
  • Rmpo
"People walk dogs here all the time. But on a leash. I think they would be happy with having a dog here. I would but have a health issue. "
  • MCR
"A car is required in this community. Distances are short but traffic is becoming a huge nuisance and truly poorly managed."
  • Jenna W.
"You definitely would need a car here but a lot of things you need are within 10 minutes driving distance! "
  • Del R.
"The small living spaces and wild animals make dog ownership a bit more uncomfortable than it should be."
  • Julianne K
"Being in the village, we avoid many of the crowds or the backed up traffic to uptown. We have a cross section of neighbors who are friendly and fun. Many people walk their dogs and visit with neighbors bringing the community closer. Everyone is watchful of each other’s properties alerting owners if there is a problem if or when they’re away. "
  • Dan T.
"It’s so quiet outdoors, and spacious. But people are friendly. It’s also incredibly beautiful! And there is good energy, hiking, spiritual connections. "
  • Bob
"Safety comfortable easy nice scenic hikingrural weather safety nice animals biking pictures interesting Jeep rides"
  • Jkilburn111
"I have not noticed any questionable characters in our neighborhood. I feel safe walking my dog alone. I don’t believe there are many children living in this neighborhood. "
  • Rmpo
"No crime no bugs no wind no winter no traffic beautiful views easy to get around hiking trails nearby good restaurants low taxes wonderful place to live. "
  • Chloejsaad
"It was very fun and had nice and beautiful sencery loved the people and how nice they were we will be staying again!"
