I have a lot of kids and moved around the country, so I have a good comparison. Wyman does a great job.Dr. Ray knows all the kids' names. I had an issue with a teacher I couldn't resolve and he addressed it immediately and followed up by email and phone.The teachers are all great, including music, art, counselors. The school focuses on emotional control - controlling your anger, frustration, etc. which is a good life skill.Field trips, the Christmas store, assemblies are all well-managed and free. They have a friendship club for kids that struggle making friends. If I have a complaint, it is with their special services/IEP. This is probably a criticism of Missouri standards moreso than Wyman. My child was removed from speech and OT he had in two other states because he was "good enough". Add that to the limited availability of private services in Rolla, and kids on the line seem to fall in a crack.

If your new to the district and you're a minority watch yourself. They lack communication, and do not hold no one accountable...they are all talk out here... a bunch of passive aggressive communication : ) ... bullying and racial remarks is a huge thing in this district. They will sweep stuff under the rug like no other . Some of them lack common sense . Do the research and it'll come right up : ) ..... if you voice your concerns or show up for your child they get ticked off. keep maintaining your image .. Some of the administrators are just something else. This is a clown school district . I heard the schools in St. Robert's better. More diversity . Like another parent stated " They are not ethnic friendly here "

I am impressed with the quality of the teachers, staff and the administrator. This is a school where all students are valued and they demonstrate this with all they do for our kids. The PTO is active, the test scores are great, the district is supported by the community, and they truly care about children. I have lived in numerous communities and this school is the best I have worked with. There are three elementary schools in Rolla and this is the best of the three too! I would not buy a house in Rolla unless it were in the Mark Twain District.

There is no diversity what so ever at this school. A lot of bullying going on. . This has been the worst experience for our family. I'm disappointed .

One of the worst school experiences I’ve seen in this district. There is a reason other schools do not speak highly of this program. The athletic department in particular is poorly managed, with ongoing concerns about fairness, funding priorities, and leadership.Large amounts of money are spent on flashy upgrades while basic needs—such as safe, updated athletic facilities—are ignored. The football turf, for example, is extremely outdated and poses a real safety concern for student athletes.Funding priorities also appear unbalanced, with certain programs receiving disproportionate support while others struggle. This creates unnecessary tension between students and activities and reflects poorly on administration.Overall, the lack of accountability, poor leadership decisions, and misplaced priorities make this school difficult to recommend. Significant administrative and cultural changes are needed.
