This school has horrible teachers, faculty and staff.

I was surprised to read a few of the negative reviews recently, but I know everyone’s experience is different. I’ve had two children at this school since 2022, and a third about to join. We are so happy to have found Rosemont! My kids are in the dual-language program. They love their teachers and I’ve never had them come home from a school day upset. They are excited to tell me about topics they are covering in school, and the things they do with their friends. I’ve found the community involvement is uniquely strong— in addition to the highly active PTA there is a robust dad’s club affiliated with the school that goes on quarterly camping trips with the kids, does fundraisers, and sponsors events. At the end of the year there is a week during which local streets close to encourage student biking, ending with a longer group bike ride and celebration in downtown Bishop Arts. The school also offers many extracurricular offerings including a running club, Pom team, chess, dance, and more. Both our children were attending a great private school in our old city, and while the resources are obviously somewhat less, we’ve had a really nice experience and are very happy at Rosemont.

The school was much better under the leadership of Principal Moon. The middle school teachers do not communicate well with parents, and do not seem to care about the overall wellbeing of students. While the school has earned a Blue Ribbon in the past under the old leadership, the potential is there. The leadership needs to train their teachers and put uniform systems in place that they inspect regularly. Since my children have attended the middle school I’ve been disappointed. Not the same Rosemont Upper.
