6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been attending this school for 2 years and they absolutely refuse to give me my son's school records even after I presented evidence of my relationship to the student. I presented evidence of my relationship to Jeff Kost (Admin Assistant of Student Support Services) and Janelle Brouwer (Superintendent) and they both flat out refused to help me. It even states in the board policy (506.1) that “parents, eligible students, and other individuals authorized in accordance with law will have a right to access the student's records upon request without unnecessary delay and in no instance more than forty-five calendar days after the request is made."Parent Review10mo ago7 Reviews - Starry Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe administration is very condescending to parents. trying to communicate with the office staff about what you want for your child ends up being an argument about what the office assistant thinks you should do with your child. Learning average. It's basically a glorified free daycare. I would not recommend this place to anyone, save your sanity and allow your kids to thrive somewhere else. Anywhere else would be better than the experience had at this school.Parent Review4y ago5 Reviews - Vernon Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome of the teachers at this school seem too busy to take the extra time to work (academically) with my son who has been diagnosed with ADHD and Non-Verbal Learning Disorder. However, most of the teachers are friendly, professional, effective and dedicated. My son has had some behavioral issues and the school usually disciplines him swiftly and fairly. I would give this school an overall grade of a B+.Parent Review8y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 1195 E Post Rd #C.

"Marion is a fairly safe town, grocery stores and small shops are within a short driving distance, lots of restaurants. Just keep a safe eye on your kids if you have any. While Marion seems like nice side of Cedar Rapids, I have seen in the news that other towns in Iowa and surrounding cities have experienced young women, college girls, teens, even kids gone missing. Always best to stay safe even in nice neighborhoods!"
