Terrible. My son only went there for kindergarten and took him out immediately the school year was over to change schools. The teacher not only wasn’t very nice to her students, but used my son as the most perfect child as an example to the class everyday. This caused kids to resent him and we had 2 very serious bullying incidents that I feel weren’t handled properly. Once I removed him from the school the teacher no longer would talk to me and completely ignored me. She ended up causing some drama not just with me but also her teacher assistant (who is now assisting a new teacher). I even had to contact the principal more than once because of my sons teacher. Then once I did move him to another school and needed his records, they made it very difficult to do so and claimed it was in storage?! And on top of that they kept barely no records of his speech therapy which made things more complicated with his new school. The speech therapy he did have there ended up being a complete waste of time. They barely had his speech class and my son told me when they did have it, it was with a group of kids and he barely spoke or did anything. I am so glad I got my son out of there and in a much better school where he can succeed so much more with his education.

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding an incident involving my child and the School Resource Officer (SRO). My child was questioned and threatened by the SRO about an issue that occurred outside of school grounds and was not related to any school activity.This matter stemmed from a disagreement between two teenagers — not an altercation, simply an argument — yet it appears that outside connections within the Florence community led to the SRO becoming involved. Given how closely connected families are in our area, it is troubling that personal relationships may have influenced the SRO’s actions.What is most concerning is that no school administrator contacted me before or after this interaction. At no point was I notified that my child was being questioned by law enforcement, nor was I given the opportunity to be present. I only learned of this after making multiple calls and conducting my own research with both the school district and the Florence County Sheriff’s Office to understand what is and is not allowed in these situations.I find it unacceptable that a student could be questioned or threatened by an officer on school grounds — particularly about a non-school matter — without parental notification or administrative oversight.I am requesting a formal review of this incident and clarification on the school’s and district’s policies regarding:SRO involvement in off-campus, non-school-related matters.Parental notification and consent when a student is questioned by an SRO or law enforcement officer at school.Steps the school will take to ensure this does not happen again. I have not received a response yet.

This school is awful, went here for 3 years. 2 of those years in the new building and it was trashed. The students were rude, the teachers were nice for the most part. If you are looking to work here I wouldn’t if you’re thinking about sending your students here don’t. My last year there sucked the principal made it so confusing and made it way more complicated then it had to be by always changing what was happening last second don’t recommend
