New Waverly Elementary is truly a place of learning. The school is new and designed with flexible spaces and a bright cheery atmosphere. The teachers use current and emerging technologies in all classrooms for both group and individual learning. Teachers are friendly and genuinely interested in the well-being of the children and parents. The special education teams are excellent and instill a love of learning that translates back into the classroom and at home. The overall size of the school means smaller class sizes and less chance of a child slipping through the cracks. Our family couldn't ask for a better school!

"In Walker County there isn't a leash law so everyone's dogs just roam free so if you happen to walk by there home with your dog on a leash it is likely several dogs will gang up on your 1 or 2 that are on a leash. It can be unsafe."
