5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhy all of a sudden has Lincoln become a watch school? I have seen things happen over the past 2 years that has become concerning. I mainly attribute this to the retirement of Mrs. Hines and the naming of Miss Early as principal. Am I the only one that feels this way? Additionally, I feel CF schools participating in open enrollment has contributed to the lower test scores on the state tests.I look foward to reading what others feel and hope Dr. Nichols and the BofE is taking notice.Other Review8y ago - Roberts Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEver since I transferred to my children, I have had nothing but issues. Constant gun threats, constant bullying and multiple meetings with staff and principal. However, nothing ever gets worked out. There’s no communication from teachers and staff and my son even reported that the school refuses to call parents when something happens. My son was pestered by another student in class, and instead of sending that student to the office, the teacher sent my child out in the hallway, and then proceeded to let the other child go out in the hallway, to pester him some more. Teachers will write a student up but not make a phone call home nor make it a point to communicate effectively with the parent. They also will fight you tooth and nail for an IEP. Even if your student is showing signs of struggling and has a diagnosis they will still fight you before they will consider giving your student what they need to excel. Everything with this school is a fight. If you want your child to have a good education, you have to fight the staff for it. Can’t even have a conversation over the phone without getting into a fight with the staff because they refuse to acknowledge certain aspects like why you should separate a student who is causing issues, not the student who isnt. I was pregnant, and I came up to the building as well to speak to a person in charge of their afterschool program, and they refused to let me in to speak to anybody, and when the staff came out, she was very nasty and rude. This is hands-down, the worst school that my children have ever attended and I lived in North Canton so that is saying a lot. My oldest son also received therapy through the Redout program, and they never communicated with me whatsoever and out of three months they only met with him twice. I left multiple voicemails, but nobody ever contacted me back, and I had to pull him out of the program. It was a mandatory, according to his 504 plan and it was an agreement with me and the board that he received it and they still refused to meet with him as recommended. It is just awful that they do not care whether your child is receiving what they need for them to thrive, and they wonder why there are so many gun threats and bullies at the school when the staff isn’t really helping the situation at all and treat parents like criminals.Parent Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 118 Tyler Ave.
