Nearly everyone in my classes now struggles with things like basic computer programming with excel, which is something I learned how to do in 6th grade. Sure, everyone thinks that they’re high school is bad or a nuisance when they’re there, but it’s clear to see the difference between the education I got compared to others. CD also has some very well known athletic programs, which some people may assume means we only focused on sports, but I can guarantee that nearly all of the athletes I was in classes with made classes a priority as well. I loved just about all of my teachers and I truly feel like they were passionate about teaching. An active PTA hosts family friendly activities that foster a school community that is inclusive. Students in attendance are from various religious, developmentally diverse, socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. "I’m 24 years old and grew up in Linglestown area, but I’ve passed by and through the Progress area countless times; I wasn’t sure how residing in this area would pan out, but my apartment was everything I needed, so I tried it out. This was my first time completely living on my own - so it was already an adjustment in itself - but I really grew to love and feel comfortable living in this area. I’ve been living here for over a year now, in a second-story apartment. I still get a little freaked out, but it’s helped living on the second floor, and I put extra security measures in place to ease my anxiety. 🙂 About four months ago, I adopted a dog; I felt comfortable walking her in the early fall mornings, when it was pitch black out - I just made sure we were wearing reflective gear and had a flashlight. I’m actually moving in less than a month, but that’s only because my apartment ended up not being as ideal for a dog owner like myself. We’re actually moving in with my boyfriend, who actually lives in progress area, too, but in a house; him and I agreed that we like this area, but the schooling options wouldn’t be ideal if we were to eventually have children. Hope that helps!"

"My kids have friends in the neighborhood and since it’s not busy throughout the neighborhood they are able to play all around the neighborhood and I not have to worry. When I first moved here the neighborhood was so welcoming and we made ton of friends in an instance."

"I’ve lived here for 7 years and what makes my neighborhood unique is the shelter. We’ve had people just walking up on our porch like its theirs and people sitting on our property because they got kicked out of the shelter. We also have kids and adults teasing our dogs through our fence."
