7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a tutor/mentor the staff made it very hard to find information about the student schedules and more information about the students progress. I felt as if they are just allowing the students to do bare minimal . In other terms " Passing them alone so then once they are done its not the school problem" The majority of students are not prepared for college. New students that transfer to the school are not assisted by guidance counselors to deal with separation and personality disorders. I asked my student how can we prepare for class when you have "NO BOOKS". I was told you cant... After visiting the school I found out that majority of the courses are online. Hmm... In order to help my student I need a syllabus of the work and a book or guide. Instead, I was told that I have to depend on the student to get the book from a teacher. How can I depend on the student when the main reason I need the book is because the student is not complying. So in other words I guess I will have no book. I was told I can contact the students teachers via email. Well all of them did not respond except for one. Hmm. Useless!!! I am very upset and it feels as if the school is setting the students up for FAILURE!!! All I want to do is help my students out but your making it impossible to do so when your website is USELESS AND YOUR STAFF!!!Other Review8y ago - Rollings Middle School Of The Arts

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool spirit is wonderful among students & staff! My child wishes there were lockers so badly due to amount of things for each class & never wants to be absent for fear of falling behind. One teacher sends weekly updates on agenda. PTA is awesome & volunteers go the extra mile to make events memorable for everyone. My child says it would be nice if more teachers cared but still has most favorites & those teachers help make school & learning fun. Every school will have its pros and cons. There are areas for improvement but overall it’s a nice environment.Parent Review6mo ago - Eagle Nest Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe halls of Eagle Nest Elementary (The Nest) are like home and the teachers and staff are like family. Both of my children attended ENES from kindergarten through fifth grade and both were challenged and thrived. Both were very well prepared for middle school in ELA and math. The only area I would like to see strengthened is clubs for students -- chorus, band, etc. There are some limited opportunities but I wish there could be more. The PTA is VERY involved at the school and is frequently recognized as one of the best in the district. District Teacher of the Year came from EES a few years ago, too. The current principal was named the SC PTA's Principal of the Year a few years ago. We wouldn't trade our Eagle Nest experiences for the world!Parent Review3y ago - River Oaks Middle School

"There is alot of love in Charleston, the infrastructure is small and basic, it is not equipped for the large number of people that have migrated here and crowd our roads. With the traffic ad bad as it is now, you can give up that No. 1 city in America to live in. Really though, this town still amazes me. I can't think of anywhere that I would rather be."

"Traffic is not too bad compared to other urban cities. Public transportation is inadequate. Bike lanes and sidewalks are not consistently available in parts of town, especially bridges and neighboring islands. There are some great trails for hiking and biking though and downtown Charleston is very walkable. "
