    "The Susan Shores Subdivision of Hayes Township in Charlevoix County is located in the Lower Peninsula of Northwestern Michigan. Housing construction in Susan Shores, which is on the Western Shore of Susan Lake, is mixed and generally consists of single family homes on small (1) acre lots. Susan Lake sees little boat traffic in the Summer (affording a slight measure of greater water safety for smaller children because of the lesser boat traffic). Many Susan Lake residents like to take their pontoon boats out to the middle of the lake to swim, and also swim off anchored rafts."
