Rancho del Rey is a pretty good school. I take all accelerated classes and most are just the right level for it to be challenging but not so much as frustrating. Most classes teachers are really nice and help you. Compacted math for 7th is really arduous and fast paced, even though you think you may be good at math it would help you if you know some of the stuff beforehand as the compacted math teachers aren’t the best. They rush the lessons and it makes me frustrated. The counselors are nice but they have to care for many students so it may be hard to call out for them for help. This school is really big and has around 2000 students. Mr. Patterson is a great principal and is fair. The school lunches range from good to ew. There is a trash problem so there is a a lot of seagulls and crows. The students are just like any other middle school some are kind but there aren’t many bullies as in my experience. I have not been bullied or teased or anything. There is graffiti in the bathrooms and students vape but many schools do so it just seems kind of normal, I would say this school is a solid 4 stars.

Amazing school. Best school of all time. I love this school so much. I highly recommend any incoming freshman to come here, it is a great school, no fights/bullying, and overall a good place to be.

I was recommended this school by another parent. It is a fairly new school in a new neighborhood in Chula Vista. This is my son's first year at this school and he is doing great. The school and teacher is active on Class Dojo. I receive regular texts and weekly updates from the principal. I am always informed about what is happening. I know what is expected of my son, including homework assignments. There are many events and clubs the kids can participate in. Due to the great fundraising efforts put on by the school, the kids have great experiences that they would otherwise not have.
