this school has left me scared and offended.

Many of the teachers are great. The principal lacks leadership skills and appears to be phoning it in. Her main trick is smiling a lot while nodding her head while repeating jargon. We're wishing for a new principal who is inspired, intelligent and creative.

I have two children at Flynn. Their education has been very good. Both of my children are advanced academically and Flynn has supported them all the way. I could not expect more from a public school. Most importantly, I feel that my kids are seen and heard as individuals and their social and emotional needs are completely met. I really appreciate the fact that so many of the students live nearby- Flynn has a true in-person community vibe that children and parents alike benefit from.The diversity of the Flynn student body is a real strength- it reflects our modern world.

Probably an okay school if your child doesn't have a disability and/or isn't gifted. In my family's experience, the school does not support my child with a physical disability and does not challenge them or acknowledge their other gifted areas. If your child has a disability, know that you may need to fight the school at every step of the way. I would recommend not trusting that they are providing support and doing regular check ins with the teacher/school.No parking, let alone for a child and/or parent with a disability (one parallel "handicap" parking space without access to get a chair out, and that a staff member parks in). Had to carry my child down the street to get to and from school too many times.The one bright spot at this school is one of the Kindergarten teachers (Mrs. Blair) who is a gem.

We really enjoyed our time at Edmunds. Its nurturing, cheerful environment and small close knight community are a great combination.

Our daughter is in her 3rd year at IAA and we all feel that it's a great fit for her. The teachers are all very caring and creative. The school takes any issues that are important to you as a parent or important to the child seriously and works jointly to resolve any concerns/issues. The PTO is highly engaged and comes up with wonderful events for the students and families throughout the school year. We have schools that are closer to our home, but this school continues to impress us. The focus is on integrated the arts (music, dance, visual arts, drama and creative writing) in to all disciplines of learning. The students are given the opportunity to move, interact with their peers and be creative all day. If your child likes to focus quietly on a project, there is time for that as well. The Monday and Friday full school gatherings are a wonderful example of the school's energy and definitely check those out when considering this school for your child.
