About this House

3 bed/2 bath, 1,544 square foot home sits on 1/2 acre. Huge master bedroom with wood burning fireplace, cedar and pine beamed ceilings, 20' walk-in closet, hand-painted Spanish style tile in master bath, dual showerheads. Wood floors, knotty pine kitchen cabinets, ceramic tile, tons of windows and French doors looking out to gardens. Stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer. Large redwood deck and natural gas barbecue. Built-in wine cellar, a seasonal creek runs on the property, mature oaks and pepper trees. This is not your typical basic rental house. My husband and I lived here and put our hearts into making it as beautiful as possible with Tiffany lighting, unique wood trimming and finishes, hand made knotty pine doors and more. Eat organic food from your own yard with orange, lemon and lime trees. Drought resistant, earth friendly yard will keep your water bill at a minimum. On demand water heater will keep your gas bill low. Mountain view with waterfall when it rains. Incredibly tranquil and secluded with fenced yard and RV Parking possible. Storage room, one-car garage, central heat/air. Very charming, private road. Adjoining Santa Susana Park. Only a 15 minute walk to Corriganville nature park or walk 10 minutes to a nearby cafe. Must see to appreciate how beautiful and peaceful this place is!

The view of the rocky hills and the seclusion of the neighborhood make it a very unique place. When my hubbie and I lived there, we never locked our doors for 16 years. Most people don't even realize that this neighborhood exists. It's zoned rural and there are no cookie cutter tract homes. Some of the neighbors on my street are really wonderful. I consider the guys that live next door to me to be the perfect neighbors. They grow their own veggies and would give us their excess as well as home made bread. There are many people who work from home or are retired so there's a lot of eyes watching for strangers who might come down the road. It's a dead end road so there's very little road traffic. And there's little light pollution at night as there are no street lights. The frogs, who disappeared for several years, are coming back. Their sound at night is a lovely white noise. And then there is how unique the house is with all of my husband's woodwork and special details like a wagon wheel in the wall between the kitchen and the living room. There is currently no closet in the third bedroom but if you need one I can buy a cute armoir for you or have a closet built in. I think an armoire might be better as it allows you to rearrange your furniture around it. Please message me to schedule a viewing as soon as possible.

If you have pets, an additional $50/month is required plus a $1,000 deposit. No lease is required. Month-to-month rental is fine.
