  • Bloseclayton
"There are a lot of playgrounds and walkable areas for kids to get around relatively safely. Some people drive too fast but it’s not too bad in the neighborhoody areas."
  • Bloseclayton
"Easy! I have quick access to route 7 or the toll road. Luckily I work in McLean so it’s not far at all."
  • Trulia User
"Extremely dog friendly area and plenty of trails to walk your dog. Appreciate the friendly dog friendly environment "
  • Trulia User
"The area is very nice and well maintained. Right next to lake fair fax and lake Anne. Reston town center is very clean and great to walk around."
  • Patrick S.
"lake Anne farmers market. great fourth of July fireworks at lake Fairfax. lots of weekend events in the summer at Reston Town center."
  • Alison E.
"Friendly neighbors, lots of kids. Pride in home ownership and proximity to shops, restaurants, walking paths, lakes, and tennis courts. Soon to be near metro stop."
  • Designwrkinteriors
"I’ve lived here for 5 yrs and LOVE it ! Great neighbors, wooded/shaded paths , easy walk to Exclusive North Village Center for dinner, groceries, wine, ice cream, etc . Easy walks to Aldrin Elementary, and Gorgeous Lake Newport and it’s multimillion $ home’s . Beautifully designed Z-Townhomes that look just as current today as they did when the cluster was built . It looks like a ski village with its twinkling lampposts at the end of every driveway ."
  • Rrobinson
"Has all Reston’s strengths: close to shops, trees, professional neighbors, good non-government school options. "
  • Dpaladino
"Easy access to Wiehle metro, making Wiehle to Ballston metro pretty easy. Maybe 45-50 minutes, including time spent driving to the metro, waiting for a train and getting to Ballston. "
  • Erin
"You will not enjoy all the barking from dogs that don’t get walked enough. Barking can be heard at all hours - even 2am"
  • phil g.
"Dog owners need to know to pick up after their prized pets."
  • phil g.
"Easy to get in and out. The speed limit is low enough that you don't have to worry about speeders."
  • CHRISTOPHER L.
    "Hectic commute."
  • phil g.
"Wiehle is tree-lined and has amazing bike paths and trails."
  • CHRISTOPHER L.
"Where I live is one of the greatest neighborhoods in the city to live in; however it does have its drawbacks. Importantly, it has nearly everything a resident might want, beautiful picturesque scenery, proximity to shopping, and many of the cultural centers."
  • phil g.
"It's important for parents to know Whiele because it's a very safe neighborhood."
  • CHRISTOPHER L.
"On Sundays, my family and I go to concerts and shows for free. We sit on the lawn that adorns the hill behind our house which overlooks the Center for Performing Arts."
  • Estibaliz C.
"There are a lot of sidewalks throughout the neighborhood, kind of like mazes, to use to walk dogs. There is a lot of space for dogs to roam around."
  • Brandi B.
"We can't get much closer to this dog park at Baron Cameron! It's a great dog park with super friendly people (and dogs)."
  • Brandi B.
"There's access to the metro. It's an easy commute, either driving or by bus, it's less than 2 miles. If you're driving 267 and 7, they are both easily accessible, too."
  • Estibaliz C.
"My neighborhood is kind of hidden so It can be far to get to and from sometimes. The quickest route to go anywhere is Route 7, which is right down the street from where I live."
  • Estibaliz C.
"It's a very woodsy area and there are a lot of stores to go to near the area. Everyone is pretty busy here so it's common that you don't see the neighbors."
  • Brandi B.
"We love Lake Anne and all of the great restaurants and businesses there. There is always a community event worth heading over for and it just has a great community feel. In addition to great businesses, we also have paths and trails right outside our door, so really it's the best of both worlds."
  • Estibaliz C.
"It's a very quiet and family friendly area. It's a bit expensive, but it's a very nice area for families."
  • Brandi B.
"It's a great neighborhood for kids, they're everywhere and it feels safe. My upper elementary age kids can ride bikes to friends' houses, basketball courts and three pool on their own without ever crossing a busy street, thanks to the great paths and tunnels and bridges. It's a great place to raise a family."
  • Rrobinson
"Pleasant neighborhood close to many amenities. Lived here more than 30 years. Great experience. Taxes are higher than you would expect. Otherwise I am here for duration."
  • John T.
"The woods, the wildlife, and the hawks make our neighborhood unique. Nice neighbors and nice homes. "
  • Jay B.
"Pedestrians, strollers, cyclists, skaters all take over the streets. It is hard to drive a car with the busy traffic. The schools actually rank fifth from the bottom of all of Fairfax County schools. It is the reason that you don't see many children in Reston - people move to other districts entirely. While some homes are nice, most are getting to be dated and putting homes in clusters just looks odd. Even older neighborhoods like Falls Church and Arlington all have bigger properties and wider roads."
  • Anne m. S.
"You can't ask for a better neighborhood! Everyone knows each other, takes great care of their property and lawns, have neighborhood block parties - and just hang out on weekend nights with the adults having a few beers while the kids play in the culdesacs. VERY safe and peaceful, yet only walking distance from the Reston Town Center where there's top notch shopping, dining and evenst. An extensive bike/walking trail around Reston and the great summer camps and other organized programs Reston has to offer - along with the impeccable Fairfax County School system - makes this an ideal place to live. I work in Washington, DC, and the commute takes about 45 minutes each way (I have a hybrid so can use the HOV lanes and I66). We've lived here for 9 years - with 2 kids and 2 dogs - and have loved every moment of it!"
  • jlg
"I love my condo complex. It is perfect for singles or couples or for the bottom units, the retired. I would not recommend it for people with children. We have very few children and the lay out and amenities are not as conducive to children. The surrounding areas are more family friendly. This is a 20 + year old complex that is being updated and maintained appropriately for its age. The surrounding neighborhood is very expensive so we reap all the benefits of an exclusive neighborhood without high expense. The BEST quality is the LOCATION!! We are right across the street from anything and everything you may need for your day to day living and you can always drive 1.5 miles to Reston Town Center if you feel like living large. "
