  • Maryann Barefoot Anderson
"I own a house in Shasta lake and currently live in it. I raised my two children in this area. This town is one of the safest areas to live in and has been for most of the time for 40 years. There is Shasta lake less than a mile . Which is 365 acres of shore line. It is family friendly oriented town with bands in the park at summertime and Christmas tree lighting and tricker treat events. Parades, and several different kids of festivals. "
  • Maryann Barefoot Anderson
"Free bands at park in summer. All kinds of market fairs . One of the Safest city in California. New skate park going in. New tourist station going in. New shops next To tourist stations . "
  • Trulia User
"this is a safe quiet neighborhood and everyone minds their own business and keeps to themselves and its a great place to live"
  • Ambernredding
"Dog owners will love taking dogs on walks around the neighborhood. I never see stray dogs so that’s not an issue. However, there is not a local dog park near."
  • Dean
"The utilities are a through the city of Shasta lake with a 100 dollar service fee for reading your meter each month. On average your utilities will be $150 (based on low usage of electricity) to $215 or higher ( depending on electricity and water usage). Also there is a huge problem with people going through your trash ( both recycling and regular trash). "
  • Tessa S. Y.
"grew up here so i know the dark and light side of the town but i love the friendly people and great community its a great place to have kids or even retire"
  • Randa8982
"Everyone is sooo friendly and inviting. Our first week at our house someone brought us cookies over. I’m so glad my family and I move up here. "
  • Sue F.
"scenic and quiet in this part of Shasta Lake. The lake is only 10 minutes away. hiking and biking trails nearby."
  • Kimberly C.
"I just moved here and there's no way I'd ever live anyplace else. The beauty of it is great, yet its close enough to the town where there are a ton of great shopping centers and restaurants. The people here are amazing as well. People talk to ya, smile, and are really genuine. "
