This sunny and bright 3 bedroom (plus loft) 2 bathroom Single family home has open beamed ceilings is on almost 1/2 an acre in the Sierra Meadows neighborhood in Truckee, California. It can sleep 11 people. The house gets wonderful sun all day long. The kitchen has a vintage commercial Wolf Range and is fully stocked. The sleeping quarters 1. Master bedroom has a King bed (2 people) 2. Bedroom #2 downstairs has a Queen size bed (2 people) 3. Bedroom #3 downstairs has 2 sets of twin-bunk beds (4 people) 4. The Loft has a twin bed and a Queen size futon (3 people) Not familiar with Truckee as compared to Lake Tahoe? Its location can39;t be beat. This house is located 1.7 miles from Downtown Truckee And is a short 5 minute drive from Highway 80 11 miles to Lake Tahoe (Kings Beach via Hgwy 267) 13 miles to the Nevada Border (at Incline Village) 17 miles to the Lake (via Tahoe City and Hgway 89) 4 miles to Donner Lake 6 miles from Northstar Ski Resort 13 miles from Squaw Valley Ski Resort 16 miles from Alpine Meadows Ski Resort 32 miles to Reno It39;s a short walk (1/2 mile) to the Rock Shopping center which has a great sushi restaurant (The Drunken Monkey), a brew-pub (Fifty-Fifty), Thai Restaurant and a wine bar. Its only 1.7 miles from Downtown Truckee with its boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops and the Amtrak train station and of course the Truckee River and only about a mile to the Truckee River Regional park with its skate-park, great kids play ground, outdoor music during the summer and its even closer to the public Ponderosa Golf Course. Star Pine Road also dead-ends onto one of the holes of the private Schafer Golf Course and community (the golf course is open to the public on availability basis). The great family oriented community of Sierra Meadows has a swimming pool, tennis court and children39;s play ground just down the from our mountain house (unfortunately, the pool is only available for residents and our guests). Close by in the neighborhood is the trail head for the Sawtooth Trail (hiking, running and single track mountain biking) and the OHV road 6 (located off Thelin Drive). Rents for $275/night, minimum 2 nights, please check availability on the Google Calendar link.Holiday rates higher. (holidays $300/night) Cleaning fee $85 (if you wash and dry the bedding before your departure, the service will make the beds, you can just leave the clean sheets on the beds) or $135 and the service will do the bed linens as well.
