About this House

ARE YOU TIRED OF OVER PRICED PROPERTIES? TAKE A LOOK AT THIS BEAUTY! Perfectly situated between Morristown's beautiful historic district and Morningside Drive, is this lovely 1950, solid built, yellow brick, Tudor style cottage. As you walk up the sidewalk, towards the arched front door, you are greeted by azaleas, lilies, boxwood, Iris, hydrangea, hosta, gladiolus, trumpet vine and seasonally filled window boxes. The front door opens into a small foyer and on into the living room that showcases the fireplace. The hearth is custom designed using salvaged roofing tiles from the old Morristown college. The living room flows into the formal dining room seamlessly as the house still has the beautiful, original hardwood floors. Next is the kitchen and sun room with an upstairs deck overlooking the backyard, Through the living room to the right are the two upstairs bedrooms and full size bathroom. Only three families have lived in the home and have lovingly maintained it. The architectural shingles are less than 10 years old and there's a large attic space for extra storage. A new heat and air unit was just installed with a transferable warranty. The home has an active alarm system. There's a new 200 amp breaker box in the basement. The bonus room with the smaller window overlooking the back terrace, was used for storage, the bigger bonus room, with a large, low to the ground, outside window and a door for egress, has been a bedroom, sewing room, office and extra storage. It was not counted as finished square footage but the space and possibilities are there. The basement door leads you to the wonderful backyard with it's terrace and custom built pergola. The roses, Iris, peonies, lilies, rose of sharon, butterfly bushes, mimosa trees and a heavy fruit laden grapevine are all enclosed inside a privacy fence. It's truly a secret garden designed to make you feel like you're in Charleston or on a Tuscan holiday. This very affordable, storybook home is being sold AS IS and is an absolute MUST SEE. • Eggertju
"I've met most of my neighbors and are friendly. Next door neighbor mowes area hard for me to mow. Wish neighbor dogs would potty in their own yard, but I'm glad they are nice. Nice area to live. "
  • Shepherdproductions
"Morristown, and in particular Windsor Place, is a terrific place to live. The homes are terrific, the neighbors are friendly-but still respect your privacy, and the entire subdivision is well-maintained, lighted and secure. The area's economy is coming back after a couple of very tough years, and we're seeing new construction. There are terrific recreational opportunities only minutes away, and it's less than an hour to the hottest shopping and tourism areas on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Boating, camping, fishing, hiking, biking, birding, you name it, there are opportunities here. If you're a higher-income family, Tennessee has no state income tax and the sales taxes, while high, aren't out of sight compared with Alabama or even Kentucky. You're minutes off the interstate, but seem far away from the pressures of the big city. At the same time, you have a very good public utility with a fiber backbone and solid services for work or business. It's small-town life with a proximity to bigger-city amenities. "
  • Memineme1
"Close to all shopping, golf course, hospitals and 24 hour Phx"
  • Kdarrellwilliams
"I have lived here for 21 years and love it. It is home sweet home. So much to do with the community and churches"
  • Rb27nh3
"Great location for family. Close to Morristown and shops and Jefferson City as well. Hamblin county schools."
