I am deeply disappointed and concerned about the way my child has been treated at the school, particularly in my interactions with one of the Kindergarten teachers and the Vice Principal. Based on what I have observed and experienced, I believe some of the actions and responses toward my child have lacked the level of empathy, fairness, sensitivity, and professionalism that I would expect from educators entrusted with the care and development of young children.I was especially disappointed by my interactions and conversations with the Vice Principal. Although my initial impression was positive, subsequent discussions left me seriously concerned about the level of understanding, compassion, and sound judgment being demonstrated when dealing with issues involving my child. Leadership in an educational environment should go beyond exercising authority; it should also reflect emotional intelligence, fairness, patience, and an understanding of the social and developmental needs of children.I am also concerned about how authority and decision-making appear to be exercised within the school. Decisions affecting a child should not rest solely with an individual teacher or Vice Principal without appropriate oversight, accountability, and an opportunity for parents to be heard. There should be proper checks and balances to ensure that decisions are fair, transparent, and always made in the best interests of the child.As a parent, I expect my child to be treated with dignity, compassion, fairness, and respect. I am extremely disappointed that my experience with the school has caused me to question whether those basic expectations are being consistently upheld.
