Description

An affordable entry point into Minneapolis with location doing much of the heavy lifting. This 1914 single-family home offers a compact footprint that is easy to own, update, and improve over time. The enclosed front porch adds usable space right away, while hardwood floors bring original character inside. On the main level, an office provides flexibility and can serve as a second bedroom if needed. The full unfinished basement is a blank slate for storage, mechanical upgrades, or future finishing. Outside, a detached garage adds value and everyday practicality. While the home would benefit from updating, the structure and layout make it a manageable project rather than a full overhaul. Set in an extremely walkable and bikeable neighborhood, you are minutes from restaurants, coffee shops, parks, shopping, and public transit. For a buyer or investor focused on affordability, long-term potential, and a strong Minneapolis location, this property presents a smart opportunity.
1115 37th St E, Minneapolis, MN 55407 is a 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 862 sqft single-family home in Powderhorn Park, built in 1914. It last sold for the $165,000 asking price on Feb 17, 2026. It is currently off market. The Trulia Estimate is $174,100, with a rent estimate of $1,543/month.

"I’ve lived in Minneapolis for almost 20 years, and the Powderhorn neighborhood is by far the most community-oriented and welcoming area that I’ve experienced in the city. "
  • Yourdevildoll
"Eclectic neighborhood with lots of activity. Public transportation is easy. Centrally located to many attractions. "

"What makes Powderhorn unique is its sense of community! People are kind, they look out for each other, and they are passionate about where they live. "
  • Dan
"The park is large and very dog-friendly. Most are well behaved, rarely do I hear barking in the neighborhood."
  • Healthywealthy1035
"It’s a neighborhood that encompasses diversity, as well as artistic venues - talented musicians, painters, sculptors and it is very family-oriented!"
  • Linda R. O. G.
"l've lived here for six years and lved loved it.people are nice, kind and friendly.and nature is so beautiful here and in the park.some times we here shooting out side at night "
  • Cskaalrud
"I've lived in either Whittier, Bottineau, or Powderhorn for over 7 years. Powderhorn is a nice, friendly, and really beautiful part of Minneapolis. Generally laid back, progressive or at least laisse-faire population. No more drugs, "gun-shots" (read: often fireworks, cars), or drug deals than ANY part of the Twin Cities, including the over-idealized suburbs. The stereotype here is that of "real hippies and hair dressers and drunks," but it's families, older residents, young to middle-aged renters and general true-blue Minneapolitans. A truly great mix of cultures, food, collectives, LGBT and POC friendly businesses, artists, workers, and families."
  • Alyssa N.
"the over abundance of crack heads, drug deals, gun shots and police sirens. it's a really nice area when the sun is up and the police presence is felt. otherwise don't walk alone and bring a weapon. also my car gotstolen literally IN FRONT of my house...so there's that "
