We moved here from a great blue ribbon school system in NJ so we were hopeful but nervous about a new school system moving into a new state. Well, Groveland Elementary has exceeded our expectations by every imagination. The teachers and staff are so devoted and caring that you can feel the positivity as soon as you walk into the school. From the principal on, EVERY person who works there truly LOVES their job and sincerely cares for the kids... it shows. Even the custodians are kind and caring (and they are cleaning up the messes all day which is what most Moms hate to do) . The school continually shows appreciation for all those who help make Groveland great and I personally feel that when people feel appreciated they are more prone to do their best. Every effort is 100% and that is how the children are being groomed. The school focuses on respect, responsibility, cooperation and sportsmanship.. they operate like a giant team and its amazing!

Horrible school, I do not recommend. I got bullied out of Tohickon by students, along with teachers. The staff gave up on me to the point where I did not receive any help. I would email my teachers for help, but they never answered because they did not wait to help me. Please don't send your child here. It's a horrible school.

I’m writing this as someone who once had a lot of faith in this school. Before COVID, it truly felt like a safe and supportive environment—my three children all attended, and we had positive experiences for years. Sadly, that changed drastically in recent times.My daughter was the target of ongoing bullying, and when we reached out for help, we were met with silence and inaction. The situation was especially troubling because the student involved had a personal connection to the principal, and it felt like the school prioritized protecting its image and relationships over the well-being of the students.We ultimately had no choice but to transfer our daughter to another high school, where she could finally begin to heal. But the emotional toll of what she went through will stay with her—and us—for a long time. She wasn’t the only victim either. That same student was suspended just six weeks before graduation for bullying another girl, proving this behavior was part of a larger, ongoing issue.I share our story not to cause division, but to raise awareness. I know we’re not alone—there are likely many other families who’ve gone through something similar and felt unheard. Even driving past the school now brings back painful memories of the nights our daughter cried herself to sleep.If you’re a parent with a child in this school, I urge you to stay informed, stay involved, and don’t be afraid to speak up. Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and protected at school.
