The middle school has an inclusive atmosphere where students are kind to one another. Staff go above and beyond to meet students’ needs. The building administrator has established a wonderful culture amongst students and staff. Students and staff are held to high expectations.

Like a family! Teachers treat your kids like their own. Does great at communication- if anything there is too much! Parent friendly.

I was a student at this school my whole life. I have seen many teachers, principals and superintendents. Things were always about sports to every faculty member. If you were not in sports, you didn't deserve being praised or encouraged. Things were looking up when I graduated and I had hopes for Plattsburg when my nieces and nephews started attending. Ellis is probably the best out of the three schools. The middle school is the absolute worst. The teachers don't care unless you are in sports. Special education is not important to the teachers when a kid needs a para. A not tolerating bullying policy is a joke. They do not stand up for the students that aren't in sports. That's all the school cares about. Sure, there are new programs and some aspects are getting better. But if a student comes home crying, saying they don't want to go back to school because the teachers and faculty members, make them feel worthless. I am ASHAMED for sending them here. As a previous student, I had seen such problems but not to the point where a teacher told a 12 year old to stop crying like a baby when they were obviously upset and did nothing to help the situation like a teacher should!
