Small cottage perfectly located with a huge sunny front yard and a large fenced back yard.

Modern updates include tile and Granite and new windows.

The real value is the neighborhood. It's one of the coolest in Durham. Walk to everything, including Duke and Downtown. This is a house perfect for dog owners too. We really built it with you in mind. There isn't anything they can hurt and the yard is amazing.

This is not too good to be true, there are warts. It is a cinder block building with a central gas heater and window ac units that has been charmingly restored. Its in a low lot that gets muddy, and because its in the woods there will be bugs if you don't keep your dog food up, and you will need to buy rugs to make the floors look warm and homey. But if you are a bit self sufficient - you aren't being fooled. This is your own, actual house with a giant yard and huge fenced area for your pets, and two whole bedrooms -and even has a washer and dryer! It is very charming - we chose nice details in the remodel - but we left it tough. The previous tenants had three dogs that were all bigger than 50 lbs. This is a tough place - it can take a beating.

If you are in Durham, drive by and see if you like it. We require two complete rental references, or the some equivalent credit check if you have been a home owner instead of renter. We also check for proof of employment. The cost of renting shouldn't be more than 30 percent of your salary, so in this case lease holders would need to make about a combined 3,000 a month. There is no application fee, and you could move in tomorrow. Any pets are welcome. Dangerous breeds require pet insurance which costs about 30 a month. I can show you where to buy it. Multiple pets are also welcome.

One year lease with 60 day notice to move at any time. Dogs welcome.
