Well, Beveridge is a hit or miss….Students: if you are a future student reading this, it is most likely that you’ve heard how bad Beveridge is. And it is kind of bad but not really if you stay on the good side. It will be hard as there is students that LOVE drama and are just horrible. Like Jalayah the fat girl that has 10 boyfriends and somehow has a whole group of followers! (only current students know) but if would say education is good as long as you are in a good class with a good teacher that’s not dramatic! *forced smile* though I would say that bullying is impossible to avoid, as a student that has been quiet with a small circle of friends I just can’t avoid it because well.. yeah! Also just to cancel out the rumor of fights everyday, no. There isn’t any fights everyday but there is fights about once every two weeks I would say. And occasionally there is people who do vape which is uhhh yeah.Teachers: yeah no just avoid this school, maybe just avoid the whole district and go to Elkhorn instead. This middle school is very stressing for teachers. You will probably lose your voice way too many times. The only way you can avoid something like this is… it’s impossible.This is my experience so obviously this is based and may not be very accurate :/ so just do whatever

I went to Burke for a couple of months as a freshman. I repeated the 8th grade, I am far behind on my education.I am disabled. At the time, I was hardly diagnosed with anything. I have FND, I am autistic with ADHD.They don't care about the disabled people who have lower support needs. They thought because I am able to walk, speak and learn that I don't need any help.They answered the questions for me during my physical evaluation. This lady made me exhaust myself going up a flight of stairs and back down, exactly how I said it would. She wrote down that I had little to no struggle with stairs.If your child needs accomodations and they have an invisible or undiagnosed disability, do not send your kid here.

As the parent of a disabled child, I have serious concerns about Joslyn’s disability support and safety practices. My child left campus during the school day, and my experience afterward raised concerns about communication, documentation, supervision, and how parent concerns were handled.Families of disabled and neurodivergent students should ask direct questions about how accommodations are implemented, how safety risks such as elopement are addressed, how quickly parents are notified after serious incidents, and how concerns are documented.In my experience, the focus too often became attendance and compliance rather than identifying and removing barriers to learning. Disabled students need clear plans, consistent implementation, timely communication, and adults who treat crisis behaviors as communication, not defiance.
