3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageConcering 1st Grade.Learning: Report cards are based off digital scores, and students are hardly not monitored/left alone when using i-Ready computers. I-Ready is recommended for 13yrs+, however is given to children as young as 5 years old, and use this as a crutch to distract children during critical engagement time.Teaching: Teachers spend most time on computer, data "mining", and meeting with each other, rather than engaging with students.Social Emotional Support: Teachers and administration staff are typically unapproachable. And are dismissive, gaslight, and deflect any accountability.Special Education: Always misses scheduled IEP appointments by calling in sick, doesn't make up for scheduled missed days.Safety: No accountability for boys who are overly-aggressive towards girls. Constant bullying, fat-shaming, and physical violence.Family Engagement: Attempted to block my personal familial engagement during specific family-entertainment hours like paint-night, picture-taking, by leaving me in the dark about specific and important dates/information.Other Review2y ago5 Reviews - Angelo Giaudrone Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is absolutely horrid. They value student uniform more than bullying and school condition and they constantly are finding way to get kids to ask their parents for money. Whether it be selling chocolates for school, paying for field trips, paying for uniforms, etc. But where does this money go? The bullying is at a mass amount, usually consisting of slurs, attacks on appearance, attacks on identity, home life, sexual orientation, and any flaw you have. Unless you join one of the cliques in the school you will be bashed. Don’t stand out, don’t standup, don’t speak out, and maybe you’ll survive. I’ve met a couple teachers that genuinely help student’s attitudes and make schoolwork fun while still needing effort. There are holes in walls almost everywhere, broken water fountains, no feminine hygiene products, and poor outdated equipment everywhere. At least the afterschool activities are somewhat nice. They cover the walls in art and writing on acceptance of everyone while failing to commit to that. Teachers get cussed out to their faces daily and children are called slurs right in front of them. I could go on but I’m running out of typing space! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL.Student Review5mo ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near 1101 S 38th St #15836619.

"No real issues. Not as much public trash cans to throw bags away on walks. Sometimes people’s dogs bark as we walk by, but I don’t have much of an issue with that. "

"Hosmer St is SCARY, and I hope we get off of it soon! There are always people shooting in the air and the homeless are heavily on drugs and roaming about. Not safe, I don’t even feel okay walking my dog around the apartment complex. "

"in all, my little pocket of south end is nice. my neighbors are generally quiet and friendly, although there is little interaction. If you are a light sleeper, street racing at all hours may keep you up. "

"Great access to downtown, 3.5 miles. South End is near I-5 and also is close to Pacific Ave (access to Mt. Rainier, etc.), 2 hrs from Pacific Ocean, and 2.5 hours from the Olympic Peninsula via Hwy 16."

"There is a mix of nice and less nice streets. If the city was to change some of their policies, it would be cleaner than what it is. The parks are nice and it's still been a nice area to live with easy access to downtown, the train, and freeway."

"I have lived in the neighborhood for 16 years. Pros: relatively quiet, close to bus lines, several nice parks nearby, lots of shopping options and both I-5 and 512 close. Cons: no consistent sidewalks, wouldn't leave valuables in vehicles, poor school ratings, litter, transients and prostitutes. Personally, we have never had any problems but I know some of my neighbors have. "

"People watch out for each other's dogs: If a dog is is wandering, or gets lost, or found, someone will post on the neighborhood FB page right away. Close to Lincoln Park, lots of room for dogs to run and play there, I personally have never been bothered walking my dog late at night, or had any worries about my safety, feel 100% safe Walking my dog here. Lots of dog lovers in Lincoln South, off leash dog park is close too <1 mi.! "
