N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had two kids go through this school with very little I could complain about over the years. It's a really nice school with good caring teachers! They do a good job! My kids loved it there, they felt safe, happy and encouraged to learn in creative ways. It is a small school so all the kids know each other, in a very tight nit community.Parent Review9y ago - Ilwaco Sr High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCommunity member here. This community has many wealthy older residents, but most of the schoolchildren's families are struggling economically, with many students unstably housed. New superintendent since 2019, a local person, seems innovative and caring. As of 2023, test scores are improving significantly and already above pre-pandemic levels. Support for diverse students (in every aspect of diversity) is very good and still improving. Performing Arts are a special strength at Ilwaco, with a charismatic teacher who fundraises constantly; takes music/band students to state and national competitions where they do well; and produces a locally acclaimed drama program. A challenged and caring school, in a caring community.Other Review4mo ago - Ocean Park Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not care about bullying. They have “favorites” and other kids are simply ignored if they aren’t “popular” or don’t have popular parents. The superintendent doesn’t care and only pays lip service to equality. The teachers and other administrators do nothing even when it is brought to their attention numerous times throughout the school year. If you can avoid sending your kids to the Ocean Beach school district absolutely DO!Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 110 Ocean Beach Boulevard Unit: #11.

"Long Beach is a safe and nurturing environment to raise a family. It is a slower pace here so be ready to be active with PTO, etc."

"There is a nice trail by the beach that is great for walking dogs. There aren't any dog parks nearby though. "

"The schools grades are split between Ocean Park and Long Beach, so bus rides can be long for kids if parents aren't able to drop them off and pick them up."
- Andy S.

"The population itself is very dog friendly. However there are not any dog parks or parks where dogs are allowed. The beach itself is a friendly option for leashed or well trained unleashed dogs."

"Long Beach is a modern day Mayberry. It is an ideal place to raise a family. Costco, Home Depot and WalMart are a short drive away in Oregon. The is no income tax in WA and no sales tax in OR. That's not a bad deal. "

"I live and work in Long Beach old town area and it's beautiful place to live or visit."
