About this House

What's unique:Rustic craftsmanshipCustom built-insMiles of trailsUnderstated luxurySweeping cinematic viewsPanoramic vistas
A once-in-a-lifetime 200-acre legacy ranch in Red Rock, where rugged wilderness meets refined Western living. This private holding captures the essence of Nevada's open range—rolling hills, panoramic vistas, and miles of trails that begin right off your back porch. Comprising four contiguous parcels, the property's western boundary adjoins over 50,000 acres of BLM land, offering direct and unrestricted access to the Sand Hills and Peterson Wilderness—a vast and untamed expanse ideal for trail riding, hiking, and exploring Nevada's backcountry in pure solitude. The ranch-style residence crowns an elevated ridge with sweeping, cinematic views in every direction. Completely reimagined in 2016, the home blends rustic craftsmanship with understated luxury—featuring Aries Brothers cabinetry, leathered granite counters, Wolf, Miele and Zephyr appliances, a true cast iron clawfoot tub, and real hardwood flooring throughout. Custom built-ins accent each room, and a Jotul wood-burning fireplace with a reclaimed timber mantle from the Davis Creek Ranch anchor the great room, while every window frames an ever-changing visual masterpiece - Sand Hills and Peterson Mountain Wilderness, the Dog Skins and Virginia Peak, Fred's Mountain, and even down to Sonora Pass along the sweeping Eastern Sierra front - almost 120 miles! The equestrian compound is purpose-built for those who ride, train, or simply live the lifestyle. A custom six-stall cedar barn showcases handcrafted ironwork designed for durability and beauty. A secondary barn provides two additional stalls, hay and equipment storage, and a wash rack. The professional-grade 90' x 90' arena and round pen—each built with reclaimed oil field piping and deep concrete footers—are designed to handle serious use. Two custom single-track, multi-use trails of 4.5 miles wind through the property. Rollercoaster trail ascends to the property summit with stunning views back onto the home and barns and up into the exquisite rocks of the Sand Hills. Rock Garden trail explores quartz-laced, wind-carved boulders, and summits the iconic property mesa with 360-degree views of colorful mountains and sweeping valleys unlike anywhere else in Northern Nevada. For the discerning buyer seeking adventure, privacy, majestic scenery, and connection to the land, this property offers it all—breathtaking sunrises and Alpen-glow sunsets, crisp snow-capped horizons, and endless adventure by horseback, mountain bike, on foot or on side-by-side. Just 20 minutes from town, yet it feels a world apart—an authentic Nevada sanctuary, truly one of a kind. 4 Parcel IDs : 079-371-06, 079-371-10, 079-371-11, 079-371-12

"I live across the street from this house. The neighbors are all friendly and we all either know each other or wave. The only downside to this neighborhood is that some people park their trailers, and or boats on the street instead of in their garage or on their driveways. We are on the edge of the desert near a bird sanctuary lake, so that makes us unique. The traffic trying to get to Hwy 395 can be VERY heavy trying to commute to Reno in the mornings. A 20 minute commute can turn into a 50 minute trip. We like it here, but I am retired and my wife works from home, so we don’t have to fight traffic. Shopping is a 5x10 minute drive to 4 big grocery stores and other businesses. "
  • Athena Perdomo
"Good school in south Reno "
  • Raquel Lobusta
"We have get togethers and watch out for one another like family."
  • Cobsky69
"Lots of traffic congestion on most areas in the city🤓"
  • Alejandra
"There are families from different ethnicities and ages, I like that from my neighborhood. People are kind and it’s safe. I can walk with my kids and feel safe. There’s not traffic noise and is very peaceful to live here. I can’t wait to see the freeway construction done, because when freeway opens completely everything would be more easier for everyone."
  • Alejandra
"My neighbor is a little bit far away but very safe and clean. People here is respectful and houses have decent size backyard "
  • Steven Colby
"It is easy to get too many places, there isn’t any noise from the airport because the planes go to the north and south."
  • J5rxcfq24f
"The rib cook off, the wing fest, street vibrations, hot August nights, the new years and Fourth of July celebrations."
  • Demirawilliams98
"Probably loud barking dogs or bowl movements (dog poop) left behind on in areas where they are not allowed although having free poop bags."
  • J5rxcfq24f
"The hot air balloons and the dragon lights events at San Rafael park are fun and engaging for the community."
  • Asmith8733
"Nothing it is not pet friendly and too small for animal owners to have pets. Traffic and parking are bad. "
  • Steve Schoenberger
"Nice and safe. Everyone is aware of keeping the neighborhood safe and being friendly. "
  • J5rxcfq24f
"Hot August nights, the zombie/santa crawls, the rib cook off and the chicken wing fest are good events that keep the community connected."
  • Linda Satchwell
"Friendly, caring neighbors. Friendly dogs. Well cared for yards. It feels super safe. Great place to walk."
  • Rachel Chavez
"There is a nice park with a trail to walk. The park has a large open grass area that is used for soccer and softball. It’s good for playing fetch but advised to pick up any presents your dog leaves so kids don’t step in it while playing. "
  • Steve Schoenberger
"Love the area, very safe and easy access to everything you would need. Freeway and veterans pkwy make everything easy to get to "
  • Yessy Merriott
"I lived here most of my life it’s clean and friendly but HOA is horrible over pricing and not many pools or safe system. "
  • Kayla M

  • Dfwrgyvxvy
"The area is nice for walking dogs however some owners don’t believe in a leash. The area gets dark at night and there have been bear reported."
  • Liza Eckels
"20 min to downtown via the highway, fairly straightforward and not a lot of traffic. Can be icy when it snows "
  • Jeff.gail
"I drive 10 minutes to work, so I can’t complain. Mostly through neighborhoods, avoiding freeways for the most part."
