"There use to be a community pool in the summer located behind the high school- that has since closed down. Now neighbors exchange ring cam footage and express their concerns about fellow neighbors and the neighborhood children. "
  • Kgerace333
"When we moved here 10 years ago I was pleasantly surprised. Let my kids walk to public pool, friends homes, etc. Going downhill fast. WAS a great school district. "
  • Fadden26
"There are some fantastic places in Solvay, but the area near China Town furniture is becoming a bit loud and disorderly. "
  • Alexandrea E. B.
"The neighborhood is clean, the people are nice and its pretty quiet for the most part. I definitely recommend this neighborhood to anyone who is trying to find a new home."
  • Darek G.
"its private here in my area. nice and quiet. wooded aeoind so cant hear any traffic. neighbours are nice."
  • Brian S
"I grew up in Solvay. It's a great community. It was always a small village where most people knew each other. Solvay also has their own electric grid so electric is cheaper. "
  • Amy D.
"Easy commute to work and shopping centers within close proximity "
  • Amy D.
"Short driving commute, public transportation/bus access is good. Not bike-friendly for transportation."
  • Tanya M
"I have lived here for 7 years. Solvay is nice because it has all the conveniences of the city, but has the feel of a village. It also has very cheap utilities!"
  • squibbie97
"Very quite, Parks are close by, near fire dept and police dept."
  • hdunham
"My husband and I live on Williams St. It's fine for us but it isn't a street we would want to raise kids on, we plan on staying about 8 months total. Nothing terrible has happened, but there are a lot of questionable kids running around. They do stupid things that don't really harm anything, like steal the emblem off our crappy car and say questionable things when you walk by. It's fine to sleep here, but I'm not running to hang out with anyone. It's close to the school, there's a cute polish restaurant within walking distance, the library is a block away, but there's also a factory nearby that you can always smell. I guess any place comes with its pros and cons but we have had better."
  • Jade4953
"Revival of the perfect family neighborhood. Beautiful homes, meticulously maintained and mixture of vintage and modern."
  • Judi L.
"I've lived in Solvay all my life. Great family friendly area with low taxes and low electric costs. Wonderful place to live"
