Bridgewater was originally part of New Milford known as Shepaug Neck, commonly called "The Neck" or "Sheep Pasture" until incorporated in 1856. This rural village, with less than 2,000 inhabitants, retains its rural traditions, yet is conveniently situated for commuters and weekend residents only minutes from Interstate 84 and Route 7. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was wondering how anyone could score Burnham with less than 5 stars and tried to find the lower scored reviews and found none at least back to 2010. This school is the perfect environment for my grandchildren. They lead happy wholesome lives in Bridgewater and they get to go to a school that is scored at 10 out of 10. This is a public school that feels like an exclusive private school. The families in Bridgewater Connecticut are so fortunate to have such a high achieving school. Students threatening my safety and threatening to come to my house. Rampant drug problem because of all the wealth in the area. Many reviews praising but ask yourself is that realistic?
