I graduated from Kiski in 2008. Although it is a great school and I was more than adequately prepared for my college studies, nepotism is real. Many staff members are related and/or know someone to get a job. This was the downfall...I had a some awful teachers, and most of them were parents of teachers there as well. One economics/social studies teacher comes to mind at the high school level, along with his sister, who was a "counselor." Together, they might make one person's worth of teaching. Overall, good school, great district, but they really need to hire staff based on merit, not just because they went to Kiski or know someone. I do feel that, for the most part, I was adequately prepared. I am almost done with a doctorate program and feel that I am a great writer because of the rigor of Kiski's writing program.

KAIS is a place with a great learning environment with the absolute best staff.

My ASD son was involuntary taken to the psych ward twice. The doctors said that was unnecessary trauma.They decided to send him to the upper elementary because they couldn't handle him.Now I'm getting calls almost daily about my daughter's behavior. She's an above average 1st grader who is bored and getting picked on. She shows frustration and they can't handle a 6 year old. They suggested that I put her in their online academy. I'll go the PA cyber route. The principal is the problem.
